IMPERIAL COUNTY — In response to a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases throughout California, Governor Gavin Newsom and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced a Limited Stay at Home Order requiring generally that non-essential work, travel, and gatherings stop between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. in counties in the purple tier, according to the press release. This includes Imperial County.

The order will take effect at 10 p.m. Saturday, November 21, and remain in effect until 5 a.m. December 21. The Imperial County Health Officer is currently in the process of updating the County’s Stay at Home order to reflect these recent changes from the State.
