Owen ends distinguished career in DA’s Office

EL CENTRO – Deborah Owen’s last day as Imperial County’s assistant district attorney was Thursday. Her retirement closes the book on 2 ½ decades as an employee in the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office.

Owen, who took advantage of the early retirement program approved by the Board of Supervisors in August, was one of Gilbert Otero’s first hires 25 years ago, two years into his first term as Imperial County District Attorney.
