  • Attorneys seek safer conditions in court

    EL CENTRO — Assistant District Attorney Deborah Owen on Tuesday asked the Imperial County Board of Supervisors to take a stance against the courts handling nonviolent cases during the novel coronavirus crisis.

    The California Supreme Court, she said, is allowing counties to make their own decisions on whether to close or make any changes to the courts.
